The hardcore–metal motors are now being driven along by Lepot (vocals), Dave (Guitar), Reiza (Guitar), Bhagol (Bass) and Zoufy (Drums), to keep the speed of loud music going in Medan – northern Sumatra , Indonesia.
Formed in 2003 spawning from a hardcore movement in the city of Medan called Land 742. Fingerprint launched their careers as a cover band, playing wellknown hardcore and metal songs. Fingerprint´s debut EP (Soldier meet the Warriors) was released in 2005 with a simple marketing and publicity but received quite good response among the local scenes. With the classic hardcore sound mixed with lyrics intended to strengthen the spirit of the listener and the depiction of the word is quite interesting, their EP made some frenetic local underground noise.
Approximately seven years after the release of their debut EP, Fingerprint released their debut full-length album “Kehidupan” (Life) in 2012. The making of the album took a long time due to the hard assembling the band which was also a tiresome process for the band members. The album was also delayed by the long writing process of songs, collection of material and the technical preparation. On this album Fingerprint became more unified and consistent in the hardcore–metal style that they launched. Fingerprints punk-thrashy full-frontal lyrics telling about the political situation and social fatigue, life, environment, family, brotherhood and self-empowerment was very well received and got an enthusiastic response.
